How it all started

Hi there — we’re Joanne and Debbie, two friends who spent years working for the USPS. Every day, we watched people’s faces light up when they received a handwritten letter. There is something about ink, paper, and a personal touch that no email could ever replace.

We adored the old tradition of pen pals, but we also knew how easily those connections could fade. Life gets busy, and sometimes the pen runs out of ink before the story does.


So we wondered…
What if everyone could have the perfect pen pal — one who never forgets to write, always has something wonderful to say, and makes every mailbox feel special? That’s how PenPatch was born — a delightful little corner of the world where letters come to life.


Together with a team of storytellers, illustrators, and imagination-experts, we create pen pal adventures that whisk you away — from cozy mysteries to funny zoo tales and time-twisting escapades.

Each letter feels like it’s from an old friend, written just for you.

FAQs

Q: What is the difference between a basic and premium subscription?

A: Basic- Receive 25 letters over the course of a year! Your first letter will arrive shortly after you order, followed by a new letter every two weeks. Each one draws you deeper into the story and strengthens your connection with the character.

Premium- In addition to the letters, each envelope includes additional items such as drawings, cards, stickers, or interactive “clues” that make the experience even more immersive and personal.

Q: How many letters are in a story and when are they mailed?

A: There are 25 letters per story. The first letter is sent right away; then 2 letters per month for the duration of a year. 

Q: When my subscription ends, will my subscription auto-renew? 

A: The stories are designed to be a year long subscription. When the story ends, your subscription does not automatically renew. If you chose monthly billing, you will be billed each month for 12 months only. After the 12 months, if you wish to continue your subscription, you will need to go to our website and chose another story.
